El Consorcio Cementero del Sur confirmó en un comunicado publicado hoy en diarios bolivianos que ha comprado "la totalidad de la participación accionaria" que tenía el grupo mexicano Cementos Chihuahua en Soboce.
"Esta adquisición se enmarca en la política de nuestra compañía de ampliar su presencia en Bolivia no solo en la comercialización del cemento Yura, sino en la gestión accionaria dentro de Soboce", agrega el comunicado.
La Compañía de Inversiones Mercantiles (CIMSA), accionista mayoritaria en Soboce, denunció el lunes que el Grupo Cementos Chihuahua violó el acuerdo de accionistas que le daba preferencia para comprar el paquete accionarial en la empresa.
El presidente de Soboce, Horst Grebe, dijo a medios locales que no reconocerán a los nuevos socios en tanto no se resuelva el arbitraje que iniciarán al grupo Chihuahua por incumplir el acuerdo.
Grebe reconoció que había una "creciente insatisfacción" en el grupo mexicano por la expropiación hace casi un año del 33 por ciento de las acciones que tenía Soboce en una fábrica en el sur del país.
El decreto de expropiación firmado por el presidente boliviano, Evo Morales, estableció que la controversia debía resolverse máximo en febrero pasado, lo que no ocurrió hasta ahora.
El consorcio mexicano esperaba recibir 93 millones de dólares por la expropiación, pero el Gobierno anunció que la indemnización se definirá cuando concluya un proceso judicial al empresario y líder opositor Samuel Doria Medina, que encabeza CIMSA, por supuesta corrupción. EFE
